Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six answers—gender, age, health, tobacco, coverage amount, term length—are enough to return rates. Your name, address, and health details are only collected if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates each carrier quoted for your selected health class. After you apply, the carrier sets the final premium based on underwriting, which may confirm, improve, or change your class. No quote is an offer or a price guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, then the application is built from your chosen quote and continues on the carriers' platform. You can pause and resume, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), processes it.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, amount, and your answers. Many carriers can decide right away for eligible applicants using accelerated underwriting. Every quote tells you whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover the years your death would hurt financially: a mortgage, kids at home, a business loan. Longer terms cost more each month but lock the rate in for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years all at once.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect contact details, we do not sell or share your data, and our site measurement is cookieless. The privacy page has the full list of what we and third parties collect.
